Workshops with Anne Tweed
We are pleased once again to welcome floral designer Anne Tweed to West
Green House after her sell-out season here in 2007.
LATE SPRING FLOWERS
Tuesday 13 May 2008
Anne will show you ways of making containers for flowers using natural
materials. She will also demonstrate late spring arrangements using flowers
and plants. After lunch you will be taught how to make a simple tied bunch
arrangement to take home.
FLOWERS FROM THE SUMMER GARDEN
Tuesday 22 July 2008
Using a few garden flowers and foliage Anne will make stunning high summer
arrangements. She will also teach you the mechanics of successful flower
arranging. After lunch you will make and take home an arrangement for
your house.
AUTUMN SPLENDOUR
Thursday 18 September 2008
Anne will demonstrate the art of using autumn leaves, berries, fruit
and beautiful late flowers. Enjoy making and taking home a centrepiece
for your dining room table.
CHRISTMAS
Tuesday 18 November 2008
A demonstration of how to create swags, wreaths and garlands for your
Christmas home, also the use of plants and bulbs as decorations. The afternoon
workshop will be making a seasonal table centre.
Workshops will commence at 11am with morning coffee and biscuits. Lunch
will be at approximately 12.30
followed by the afternoon workshop. Please advise if you have any special
dietary needs. All flowers and foliage
provided – please bring your own secateurs.

Midsummer Mozart - Sunday 22 June
West Green House Gardens are now at their most splendid with roses everywhere and in the new Roman garden where many of the plants the Romans brought to Britain are our new garden story for 2008. So enjoy exploring the gardens and follies then join us on the Green Theatre lawn to welcome for the first time The Guildhall Singers from London's Guildhall School of Music. They will sing some of Mozart's most lyrical "hits" from the Magic Flute, Cosi Fan Tutti and The Marriage of Figero during the afternoon performance.
The gardens open at 11.00am and lunch and tea will be available to purchase at the Courtyard tea rooms. So relax in a midsummer garden listening to these brilliant voices singing some of the world's greatest music.

Make a Christmas Advent Wreath
Monday 17 November 11am
Using fresh garden foliage and herbs floral decorator Anne Tweed will
help you make a traditional wreath for the season. Commencing at 11.00am
for coffee, demonstration from 11.15 until 12.15, lunch and then the wreath
making workshop.
Please bring your own secateurs or cutters. All materials, coffee and
lunch provided.
